Meet the Founder
Damian Hempstead
Damian Hempstead is a passionate filmmaker and actor with over 15 years of experience, most recently appearing alongside Jacob Elordi in Prime Video’s The Narrow Road to the Deep North.
His writing and directorial debut, BACKFOOT, premiered at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter in Sydney to a sold-out audience of more than 200 guests before its worldwide YouTube release in June 2026. The film was subsequently featured in the inaugural print issue of The Hollywood Reporter Australia and profiled on its digital platform in an article highlighting Hempstead as an emerging Australian filmmaker.
His second short film, UNBOUND, was met with widespread acclaim, accumulating more than 200,000 views on Youtube within its first three months.
His latest short film, Out of Step, marks his third production under his banner, Damo & Tim Productions and was recently shortlisted for Tropfest 2026 from more than 700 submissions.
